We live in a time when we can make and remix
our own music and put it on the internet or onto
cd-r to play to others. the technology is driving
the creative factor and it's an exciting time
to be a dj. I have made many tracks over the last
4 years, just by listening to other peoples stuff
and using the best bits as samples for my own
work. We call it mash-up or in less formal cases,
bastard pop. I found it one of the best ways of
integrating my music and computing skills. It's
taught me more about the potential for people
to make their own multimedia.
